31 weeks, 2 days
Everything seems to be going by so fast now...
I now see my doctor twice a month, and I always look forward to it. I get to hear her heartbeat everytime. I really want another sonogram, but they said there are none scheduled, which means unless there is a problem I won't get one. Guess I will just have to wait to see her face for real!
My primary doctor is Dr. Rogers, but there are two other doctors, Dr. Brannon and Dr. 'Z' (Zilavy) who are also on call for whenever I go into labor. They are having me see each of them at least once this trimester in case they end up doing the delivery. I love Dr. Rogers because he is so reassuring and calming. Dr. Brannon freaked me out a little at first because he is so hyper and all over the place, but the second time I saw him was better. I go to see Dr. 'Z' on December 27th. I will let you know how that goes! ;-)
I love babycenter.com! Each week they have an article on how your baby's growing and how your life's changing and other articles to correspond with your current stage in pregnancy. I can't get enough of it! I really want to take a childbirth class, but I think it may be too late to sign up. I am going to look into it (though I don't really have the $ anyway...) but if that doesn't work out, some friends from church who just had a baby said that they bought videos and they didn't go to any classes. They are going to let us borrow them if we want.
My baby shower is set for January 14th, and I am excited! Not about the presents, but just about celebrating this baby! I can't wait for that, but of course, it is even harder to wait to see her precious little face! (Man, I really hope she doesn't turn out to be a boy, just because I have been calling her a she this whole time...)
Ryan and I were talking about what to name the baby if it is a boy. I made a poll to see what others thought. Ryan's favorite is Joshua Paul Donovan. I really like the sound of that as well...but I can't seem to get over how much I love the name Daniel. Let us know what you think, please!
The aches and pains are all coming on. I haven't slept through the night in so long, but I guess I'd better get used to that! I also wake up every morning at 5am to go to the bathroom...like clockwork. The thing I am most looking forward to doing after the pregnancy -- sleeping on my stomach!!! That and being able to pick things up off the floor when I drop them...
I'm lovin' it, though! I want to cherish every moment, every kick, because I know it won't be for too much longer!

I absolutely hate taking pictures! But I knew I would want these someday, and everyone wants to see them, so here you go!

How your baby's growing: This week, your baby measures about 16 inches long. She weighs a little over 3 pounds and is headed for a growth spurt. She can turn her head from side to side, and she's beginning to accumulate a layer of fat underneath her skin in preparation for life as a newborn. As a result, her arms, legs, and body are filling out.
