38 weeks, 4 days
I have been so distracted! I just looked over my most recent posts and realised how much I haven't written about. I think the 'fear' is officially gone now. I am excited, beyond excited, about the arrival of this baby. I am ready.
I have no worries about finances anymore. We finally worked out a system with my job that both my bosses and I are satisfied with. I will be working from home now (in fact, I already have been for 2 weeks, but more on that in a minute). I will be working less hours, but they gave me a wonderful raise, so my pay cut is only 25%. It makes a little strain on us, but it is doable, and I will be looking for supplemental income as well. Also, Ryan got a little raise as well, and God has definitely been providing us with everything we need, and then some. I have been so relieved.
It has been wonderful working from home. Two doctor's visits ago, my doctor told me to go ahead and start working from home. My blood pressure has been on the "high side of normal," he said, and they always had me lay down on my side and recheck it, and it went down. He said my blood pressure is fine when I am "chilling out" and that is what he wants me to do. So that is what I have been doing.
Backing up just a little, I have definitely been through the nesting phase. I finally unpacked my boxes, and cleaned up our bedroom. Ryan did the 20 or so loads of laundry to help with that...and I have been organizing and decorating. My mom and I reupholstered my dining room chairs and they look great! We bought a new ceiling fan for the bedroom and are going to be repainting our bathrooms. We just haven't gotten to that yet. I also cleaned out our office (for the most part) and set it up for me to work from home.
The nursery is finished! The only thing we don't have is our dresser, which my coworkers said they were going to get for me, and I am just kind of waiting for that...I washed most of her clothes and blankets already, and folded and sorted them out. I took some pictures of the pretty little nursery, and am going to them up on www.ryanandann.com. I am so excited to bring her home to it, though I know she won't care about it at all.
My next appointment is Tuesday, if the baby doesn't come before then!

I am so proud of you!! I can't wait to meet Emily and see what an AMAZING Mother you are going to be! I love you so much Ann!
The nursery looks great! I can't believe you even have her bed for when she gets bigger! I still don't have a bed for Hannah and she will be 2 (on your birthday!) Oh, well, guess thats how it goes with the youngest of 4, she just doesn't get the special treatment like the first baby. :-) Enjoy Emily when she comes, and don't sweat things too much, you both will be new at this and it takes time. Love you!!
How exciting for you! I can't believe it's almost time! Your nursery looks beautiful! Emily will care more than you think. She'll look at the mobile and all the pretty stuff in there right away. Then she'll start "talking" to the mobile. Just wait! I LOVE YOU!
I love it!
